In June 1995 we acquired new premises at 197 Bo’ness Road, and moved from the old King’s Road premises. It was great to be in such a prominent position on the main road and having a massive car park front and back was a major advantage. Initially the premises were kitted out in the same minimalist way that had started the previous 2 premises in Grangemouth and in Stenhousemuir. After a short period however, major alterations of the building took place, with some internal walls being knocked down, and a complete retail shop front look to the front part of the premises. The idea of the complete “one stop stop” for pet owners was borne. The upper part of the building was developed into a self contained flat. A new vet was engaged to handle the increasing workload. The vet living over the premises again was another major advantage. Our clients really started to appreciate just how good the level of care their pets were receiving at the new premises. Very quickly after this, a new practice manager was employed, and plans got underway to organise our very first “Open Day” to all our clients and prospective clients..
