News Archive: New Ownership

As from Tuesday 25th May 2010 this practice will be under new ownership and will be renamed Championvet.com Grangemouth.

A word and introduction from our new owner, Mr Stephen Champion

I manage two other practices , in Glasgow and Paisley, and look forward to taking on the new surgery in Grangemouth.

I will be building on David Finlay’s excellent reputation as your local vet, aiming to broaden the range of services and treatments available, whilst remaining very much your local practice and offering an excellent standard of service.

A few of the new services we will be offering straight away will be

  • Our Valuevet practice membership scheme, allowing you tto “join” the practice , paying for your pet’s routine treatment in small monthly instalments and enjoying discounts on all our fees , medicines, pet foods and grooming.
  • An enhancement in diagnostic imaging by introducing ultrasound to the practice, in addition to the X Ray examinations already available. An expansion of the in-house laboratory, to allow us to run more tests while you wait, reducing the time taken to get your pet’s results .
  • An interactive website www.champion.com, allowing you to book appointments at Grangemouth, email the vets free of charge with your questions, and purchase a range of veterinary medicines at reduced prices. Hence the name championvet.com

You will no doubt be pleased to hear that David Finlay will continue to consult at the practice on a part-time basis, so please feel free to book an appointment with him whenever you wish. We are delighted that Stephanie, Carolyn , (our groomers) and Georgina ( veterinary nurse ) will also be continuing at the practice. I would appreciate your help to make YOUR practice all you want it to be. Please direct any suggestions, criticisms , and requests that you may have to me(in confidence) at the surgery on 01324 4729156, by e mail on grangemouth@championvet.com or by placing a slip in the new suggestion boix at reception in the practice. I am more than happy to discuss individual cases with you should you wish, and look forward to seeing you at the surgery soon.

Thank you .

Stephen Champion (Hons) BVM&S MRCVS
